General Comments

Dr. Anne H. Jacobson is a licensed Psychologist seeing children , families, adults and couples in her Oakland office. Dr. Jacobson is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and is a founding member of the Association of Collaborative Professionals of the East Bay. She participates on the interdisciplinary collaborative teams as both a Mental Health Professional,or coach, as well as in the role of Child Specialist. She is also on the Supervisory faculty at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, teaching and supervising both Master's level and Doctoral students. Dr. Jacobson's commitment to the Collaborative Process is based on her work with separating and divorcing families over the years, and seeing the additional toll that conventional litigation can take. She believes that children and families have great resilience and a natural affinity to preserve the bonds of closeness despite adverse circumstances. By participating on the Collaborative teams, she works with her clients to lay the groundwork of mutual respect and non-defensive communication that will strengthen and enhance family ties, both old and new.
