General Comments
Ariel Winger has been practicing family law since 1999 and served as a Staff-Attorney for a local non-profit where she litigated domestic violence cases for 5 years. Recognizing the benefits of non-adversarial options for parting couples, Ariel started her private practice in 2007, offering compassionate and cost-effective services as a mediator and collaborative attorney. Ariel believes the emotional impact of divorce and separation can be minimized by the support and partnership of the attorney-client relationship. By understanding her client’s needs and goals, Ariel works to empower her clients in taking an active role in their case and its outcome. Offering non-judgmental services to all couples and families, Ariel welcomes those traditionally under-represented in the private legal sector and offers sliding scale services on a case by case basis.
Ariel is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association (Family Law Section); Collaborative Practice East Bay (Modest Means Committee, Public Education Committee), and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
